But a Vapor

Around the age of 25 or so, I remember clear as day the sudden revelation just hitting me softly, yet urgently. TIME. 🕰️

I had prayed “Father, teach me to number my days” according to Psalm 90:12, and God didn’t hesistate to do so. I gained this insight of 100 years being SO short, but also the reality of not receiving the promise of even living for 100 years. Heck, I hope it’s in the books for me, but it is not promised. For instance, I am 33 years old, and FEEL young, yet if The Lord decides that age 35 is when He’s taking me home, I’m actually pretty old.. 🤔

The kick here is that WE EACH DO NOT KNOW when that day will be for us. But one thing is for sure, that day will come for each one of us. And I pray this doesn’t fill you with fear, that’s absolutely not the point of this word. My hope is that by reading this, you catch the revelation of time as well. That’s its short here on this beautiful planet. Life is but a vapor.

I also hope it encourages you to do the things that the Lord has burdened your heart to do. If you feel in your gut that you need to do that thing, ask the Lord to give you strength, wisdom and courage, then do it.

Examples:

Go back to school, go apply at that one place, start eating whole and nutritious foods and exercising, forgive that person, apologize to that person, tell that person how you really feel, break up with that person that you know isn’t a healthy match for who you are and where you’re going. Bro, ask her to marry you aready, sign up for that race and start training, say yes to rehab for your sake and for the ones that love you. Book that flight to that one place you’ve wanted to go to and start saving and budgeting for it, guys.. DO THE THING! But of all the things, the MOST important of all, get to know the One who loves your soul. JESUS. Yesterday was my 16th anniversary with Him and let me tell you, life is not free of pain, but a million times better with Him as the center. ❤️

(Find a church, get plugged in, allow yourself to be discipled, read The Word because it is your weapon and also your daily bread for your spirit, and meet with Him as often as you can. He loves you and yearns to do life with you while you do the things, to help you, and guide you along the way of this life until you meet Him face to face.)

Time is short my friends, LIVE on purpose today and everyday. Because we have no idea what tomorrow will bring. 🤍🙏
